Caribbean Export Development Agency’s Direct Assistance is now open for proposals

Vincy News

The call for proposals is now open (as of Monday, April 23) for Caribbean Export Development Agency’s Direct Assistance Grant Scheme (DAGS), which is a reimbursement grant funding opportunity, specifically designed to provide financial assistance to legally registered businesses (firms or individuals) and Business Support Organisations (BSOs) with high export potential.

‘Reimbursement grant funding’ means that no monies are given in advance to beneficiaries. They incur the full cost of their projects and monies will be given back on completion of said projects. The grant allows you to be reimbursed a maximum of 70 percent of the total value of the project (capped at 50,000 euro). Minimum grant amount that can be applied for is 10,000 euro.

A 1-day sensitization workshop for this scheme was held last Friday, April 20 – led by Chris McNair, Caribbean Export’s Competitiveness and Export Promotion Manager. This workshop focused on explaining DAGS and how to apply, and broke down the process of recouping monies spent on business projects.
